With the holidays just around the corner, I'm sure everyone has been running around trying to finalize their Christmas shopping list! Just a friendly reminder, don't let the stress get your best! Remember to take time out of this hectic week because stress can really take a toll on the mind, body and soul! There are things you can do to help relieve stress. Here are some tips!
1. Don't over commit to anyone and overload your schedule. If you have too much on your plate don't feel obligated to say "yes." I know it's the holidays and it's the season for giving, but don't forget to keep a healthy balance!
2. Stay within you budget when it comes to holiday spending and gift buying. Don't add the stress of having to pay off your credit card come January!
3. Try to maintain your normal routine during the holidays. Keeping things as normal as possible can reduce stress.
4. Read a good book! At the end of the day, get cozy in bed (or on the couch) with a book you've been wanting to read. This is one of the most relaxing hobbies to have.
5. Don't forget about your diet. Fit in nutrient dense foods, such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, and fish into your diet regularly. The antioxidants, vitamins and minerals will help you stay healthy during the holidays and feel your best! Not to mention they'll help fight inflammation!
6. Take a relaxing and calming fitness class, such as yoga or pilates. These classes will help keep you flexible, fit and centered during the holidays
